Overcomers Overcoming

Aug 29, 2023

Chelsey Brooke Cole grew up feeling "not enough." She desperately wanted to feel whole — to be seen and heard. To know that she didn't have to earn love. Her early relationships reflected her mindset then. She was used to try to "win" someone's love. She felt she was fundamentally flawed — that even though other people could have healthy relationships, the best she could do was find someone else who was broken and help them heal. This made her more susceptible to highly narcissistic people who saw second chances as a way to keep hurting her. Those who took advantage of her patience manipulated her kindness and ignored her needs. Realizing she was experiencing narcissistic abuse was a process. She felt shame, guilt, and self-judgment for being in those relationships. For not seeing the signs sooner. For ignoring her intuition and abandoning herself. She found her life's mission through intentionally building herself: helping people heal from narcissistic abuse. Today, her life looks very different than it used to. She sets better boundaries, listens to her gut, and cares for herself. She is a self-described work in progress. Because of everything she has experienced, she has the motivation, courage, and fortitude to advocate for narcissistic abuse survivors. She is a psychotherapist, coach, speaker, and author.
